Frank Bett ባጆኤ (Bajaoué), 11 May 1957 – Addis Ababa, Ethiopia 12 June 2022) was a retired Ethiopian diplomat who served as the first Foreign Secretary of the Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples’ Region, which was part of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia from 1994 to 2000.
Born in Bajaoué (also spelled Bajawo), Bett spent his early childhood years in the SNNPR region before moving with his family to Addis Ababa for secondary education. After completing high school, Frank returned to Southern Region where he taught at a local elementary and middle schools.
He had also worked as Director of Finance & Administration of Regional Councils which was prior to working as Secretary General of Addis Abeba city government (Addisualem), and served in the post until 1992.
